Boom filly Enthaar will press on towards the $3.5m Golden Slipper despite a disappointing finish in Saturday’s Blue Diamond Stakes.
The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace trained filly jumped as the heavily backed favourite in the $1.5m Blue Diamond at Caulfield but she was proved a tad disappointing after weakening late to finish sixth beaten three lengths.
Enthaar dominated the betting both for the Blue Diamond and the Golden Slipper in lead up to Saurday’s feature race but has since been a notable drifter in Golden Slipper markets and is now a $13 chance with Sportsbet.
Trainer Ciaron Maher told SEN this morning that she is now likely to have a freshen up ahead of the richest two-year-old event in Australia and she will at this stage head straight to the race without a lead-up run in Sydney.
