Holmes A Court, the Black Opal winner, is set to continue his racing journey in Hong Kong under the tutelage of renowned horseman Tony Cruz. Acquired for $850,000 at the 2023 Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Holmes A Court showcased promise with placements in the Blue Diamond Preview and Prelude before clinching Group 3 success in Canberra.

Under Peter and Paul Snowden’s guidance, the rising three-year-old concluded his Australian campaign in the Golden Slipper, finishing midfield. Holmes A Court joins two other Australian talents, Tallis Drive and Golden Image, in Hong Kong following their impressive performances.

Tallis Drive, formerly trained by Anthony and Sam Freedman, secured his spot after a dominant maiden victory at Wangaratta, while Golden Image earned his ticket with a commanding win at Doomben. In total, 16 Australian horses made the journey to Hong Kong, adding to the city’s vibrant racing scene.
