Darren Weir omen bet at Moonee Valley

You’ve heard of omens…right?

We’ll try this one on as we look at backing something at the ‘Valley on Friday night.

Now, I’m not saying it is appropriate. Nor am I suggesting it is real, relevant, timely or valid…I just don’t know.

Life imitating sport, or art, is about as far as I’ll go with this.

You make the call. Here’s the set up – there is a 2YO, an unraced baby racing at Moonee Valley Friday evening who is or was or whatever it is now, trained by Darren Weir.

She was a $155,000 yearling purchase at he William Inglis Premier Melbourne Yearling sale in 2018.

She is by that wonderful stallion Sebring from the stakes placed winning mare Le Societe, who is by Anabaa. So you can expect her to have a lot of pace.

The dam won 3 races, one was at Moonee Valley oddly enough. Which just means all things suggest this filly of D.K Weir’s might have some talent.

But omens are funny things.

They bob up at the most opportune time for many people.

So perhaps this is the time…..the 2YO filly’s name is Indiscretion.

That makes her about the best named horse racing this weekend.
