Don’t miss out on seeing the world’s greatest thoroughbred strut her stuff at Royal Randwick in just 3 days time.
Black Caviar – the undisputed queen of world thoroughbred racing – will be at Royal Randwick Racecourse for the $1m Darley TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) on Saturday and you only have until 5pm this afternoon to take advantage of the special transport offer.
The ATC, in partnership with Racing NSW, are offering a special ticket and transport deal open to provincial and regional race club members and general public, departing from selected outlying areas – Gosford, Goulburn, Kembla Grange, Wyong, Hawkesbury, Newcastle, as well as local racetracks Rosehill Gardens and Warwick Farm.
For just $50, patrons will receive return coach transfers from the selected locations, admission into the racecourse, a souvenir racebook and limited edition 150th AJC Derby fedora hat. Total value of this package is over $125.
Places are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment. Bookings will be accepted by ATC up until 5pm on Wednesday 6th April. To book, please email Kate Alexander kalexander@royalrandwick.com
The winner will receive Champagne Bar hospitality and racecourse entry for two on David Jones Australian Derby Day; access to the mounting yard to watch Black Caviar in her race; a photo opportunity with Black Caviar’s trainer Peter Moody; a priceless framed set of Black Caviar’s racing silks; and three magnums of Moet & Chandon.
Black Caviar memorabilia available on David Jones Australian Derby Day includes flags – free for the first 2,500 people through the gates; lapel ribbons ($2); and a Black Caviar customised photo booth where participants will walk away with a photo of them riding Black Caviar, thanks to the miracles of modern technology.
There are also limited edition 150th AJC Derby fedora hats for only $10 including a souvenir racebook.
ATC is expecting the grandstands to be bursting at the seams this Saturday as people flock to Royal Randwick to witness the running of this spectacular mare, now hailed as the ‘world’s fastest horse’.
On top of that racegoers will experience a massive nine Group race line-up. A win for Black Caviar would see her just two wins away from matching the world renowned consecutive win record of Phar Lap, which makes her the people’s horse of the modern era.
“Saturday 9 April will be a historical moment in racing for a number of reasonsâ€, said ATC’s CEO, Darren Pearce. “Not only are we celebrating the running of the 150th David Jones AJC Australian Derby, but we are also extremely privileged to witness Black Caviar’s first ever race outside of Victoria, on what is sure to be one of the biggest Sydney Carnival days in many years.
“The public hype surrounding the arrival of Black Caviar has been overwhelming, and I strongly encourage Sydneysiders to come to Royal Randwick and be part of Australian sporting history when the phenomenon that is Black Caviar hits the turf on this illustrious raceday.”
