Country Cup racing in Victoria continues this Sunday, with the Moe Cup (2050m) attracting a strong field.

1. Antrim Coast: Hasn’t raced since that brutally run Archer Stakes. Class will carry him a fair way, but I don’t think all the way.
2. Glentaneous: He was solid enough fresh in the JRA Cup…but he’s like a few here…are they getting ready for the Bagot? He’ll be strong late though and has a touch of class.
3. Star Vega: Did more than enough I thought in the Sale Cup when resuming and should appreciate a rise in trip. His best is good enough to win and I’m happy to be in his corner.
4. Alma Rise: SCR
5. Howlin Rain: He was a real eye catcher late in the Peninsula Cup and the rise in trip looks ideal. Leading contender.
6. Regal Lion: Turned back the clock with a Mortlake Cup win and now his confidence is up, he can go on with it I say.
7. Staunch: Beaten fair and square at Morphettville and isn’t beating these I say.
8. Fengarada: SCR
9. Masterful: SCR
10. Red On Red: Spanked an average bunch at Pakenham but this looks muuuch harder.
11. Ghetto Superstar: I wanted to find him but the gate makes things very tricky and I think he’ll spot them too much head start.
