Tom Melbourne is heading towards the Caulfield Cup and Sportsbet.com.au have opened him favourite to kick off his prep a winner this Saturday at Caulfield in the Heatherlie Stakes (1700m).
The Team Freeedman stayer has looked sharp on a couple of occasions at the jump outs, and given how good he looked last prep, it’s no surprise to see him open the $4.80 favourite and be heavily backed early into $3.70.
On the second line of betting is another Melbourne Cup and Caulfield Cup aspirant Provocative at $8.50 who has been a touch easy from her opening quote of $6.00.
Two horses that have to be respected are Magnapal ($5.50), who was excellent in the P.B. Lawrence, and Second Bullet ($8.50), who has been very good at the Flemington jump outs.
