The Everest winner Classique Legend is an alarming drifter in markets for todayβs Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin racecourse.
Classique Legend who opened as the $1.75 favourite with Sportsbet in early markets on the feature Sprint at Hong Kong on Sunday has continued to drift throughout betting and is now out to $2.40 and could start longer if the current trend continues.
Classique Legend won the rich Everest prior to being sent to new trainer Caspar Fownes in Hong Kong to target todays race however a barrier trial in which the horse didnβt really impress in has dampened punters excitement around the horse.
The money in the race has come for consistent top class sprinter Hot King Prawn who has continued to shorten as a result of the drift for Classique Legend and is now into $3.50 from his opening price of $4.00.
Outside of the top two in the betting it looks an open race with all other horses either remaining solid at the opening prices or drifting slightly with the market consensus being it is a two horse race.
