One punter will be hoping that Cox Plate favourite can overcome a wide barrier on Saturday after placing a bet that could land them a whopping $64,000.
The TAB punter placed $13,930 on the Danny O’Brien-trained Russian Camelot to win the 2020 Cox Plate at odds of $4.60.
Russian Camelot drew barrier 15 on Tuesday and is expected to jump from barrier 14 on Saturday after the field is reduced.
In the 99-year history of the Cox Plate, no horse has ever won from barrier 14.
