In a wide open betting race Go Indy Go ($5.00) and Lumosty ($4.00) have duelled for favouritism. Money overnight has seen Lumosty take back top spot and if the trend continues she will stay there.
Afleet Esprit ($5.00) has had solid support, but one-time pre-post favourite, Bring Me The Maid ($5.00 – $5.50) is unwanted.
Caulfield Stakes:
Crackerjack King, who covered more ground than Steve Moneghetti last start, is the best backed roughie at $14. Dissident ($4.00) is a shaky favourite, with money suggesting Fawkner ($5.00) may challenge for top spot.
The Chris Waller juggernaut is not expected to continue. Sacred Falls ($4.60) and Foreteller ($12) are unwanted.
Toorak Handicap:
Trust In A Gust ($8.00 – $6.00) remains equal favourite and is the best supported runner. Out of the other equal favourites – Arabian Gold and Solicit, the latter is the best backed.
Outsiders Guest Of Honour ($14) and Late Charge ($21) have admirers at decent odds.
Spring Champion Stakes:
This looks a race in three with rising star First Seal ($1.75) dominating betting all week.
The racing adage “a good colt will always beat a good filly’’ will be tested with Sweynesse ($3.80) and Panzer Division ($7.00) representing the boys.
