6 My Proclama (Bet Now: $1.65) looks the obvious straight play here in the opener. She resumed over 1000m here when near the speed throughout and I thought she was there to win but just couldn’t quite get there when second. Better for the run and rising to 1200m, she takes beating.

4 Bedda Mia (Bet Now: $4.60) has had numerous chances to break the maiden tag but she is an honest type that ran second over 1000m here last start behind Fairway To Heaven. No match for the winner but she stayed on really well. 1200m looks okay, she’s a threat,

11 Space Cadet (Bet Now: $16.00) steps up to 1200m after debuting over 1100m at Nowra. She just found them a touch sharp but didn’t mind the way she finished her race off in defeat. Extra 100m suits and is less exposed than most.

6 Nothing Finer (Bet Now: $3.90) was pretty good in defeat over 1300m here last start. He landed in a decent spot near the speed and was there to win I thought. Just lacked the killer blow when third. Should press forward from the tricky draw and be hard to beat.

7 Pour Benn (Bet Now: $1.85) is a couple of weeks between runs since racing over the mile at Newcastle when off speed and kept chasing in the straight but couldn’t quite get there behind Emerald Hills. He’ll be strong late. Just depends what start he concedes.

2 Autumn Surf (Bet Now: $10.00) was unwanted in betting when debuting over 1400m at Warwick Farm but I thought he ran a very credible race in defeat, closing off okay. Much better suited here, he appeals as a knockout hope.

Leaning towards 7 Zougotme (Bet Now: $4.60), a narrow second at Hawkesbury last time when off the pace and worked home well but just found one better in Cosmic Avenger. Think he’s drawn to find the best ground and launch late, especially on the home track.

4 C’mon Flyer (Bet Now: $4.40) is first up, having not raced since his debut here on Oct 13 when off speed and worked home with real purpose late in a strong performance in defeat. Trials have been nothing to jump up and down about but first up at 1400m signals intent.

13 Patrizia (Bet Now: $81.00) was unwanted in betting when debuting over 1200m at Wyong. She landed on speed and gave a decent sight but just felt the pinch to finish down the track. Home track advantage, more oatient ride, she could pinch first four.

4 Sneaky Choice (Bet Now: $2.80) on top. Got a great ride by Tommy to win over 1500m here last start, knuckling down with purpose late to wear them down and score. Extra 100m should be fine, Tommy sticks and strikes a winnable race.

1 Cosmic Lad (Bet Now: $3.80) is several weeks between runs since a track/distance effort when off speed and just whacked in the run to the line without threatening. Been hit and miss throughout his career but if he brings his best, he goes awfully close.

2 Tip Top Timing (Bet Now: $20.00) is a Clarry Conners trained gelding that resumes. He is an absolute swimmer so if the track remained heavy, he’d be right in the mix despite being first up. He’ll spot them a start but be strong late and a win wouldn’t shock.

11 Dezignation (Bet Now: $7.50) looks one of the better each way gambles on the card. Placed at this track/distance two back before being freshened up and going back to 1900m at Canterbury. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never threatening, I liked the way he finished off. Back up in trip, he’ll take beating.

7 De Louviere (Bet Now: $6.50) is racing well and should be around the mark for Matty Smith, as seen over 2100m at Warwick Farm last start where he kept chasing but did seemingly have his chance when third. Hard fit, 2400m is fine, commands respect.

3 Sempter Fortis (Bet Now: $41.00) should appreciate a rise in trip after racing over 1900m at Canterbury. He got a suck run on the fence but lacked any real change up speed and was never really threatening. Like the rise in trip…doubt he wins but can run first four.

1 Bunker Hut (Bet Now: $3.90) is the best on the card by some distance IMO. He resumes for Michael Freedman, having not raced for four weeks since a placing over 1300m at Randwick when trying hard but just failed to get there behind Movin Out. Maps ideally, depth nowhere near as deep, keen.

3 Charcoals (Bet Now: $4.20) was very good in defeat first up at Randwick two weeks ago, getting back to near last in the run and worked home with real purpose in defeat behind Mal Coupe. Like him against these, can settle closer and be effective late.

6 Gravina (Bet Now: $16.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1400m at Rosehill. He landed on speed, where you wanted to be in the run, but just lacked the class to go with them late behind Lord Penman, but was far from disgraced. He’ll land in a good spot here and only run well.

16 Mountain Queen (Bet Now: $91.00) is the speck in the feature. Beat nothing at Wyong last time, but the manner in which she did it really impressed me, making a 600m sustained run and was strong to the line in winning. She has 2000m+ written all over her IMO and very keen to see her on a big track. I think she’s right in play here.

1 Spicy Lu (Bet Now: $3.20) comes back to NSW after resuming at Caulfield in the Angus Armanasco when far from disgraced in defeat behind the star that is Sheza Alibi. Back to this level, rising to the mile, she has class and it will carry her a long way.

7 Reflect (Bet Now: $27.00) steps up to the mile after placing over 1500m here where she seemed to have her chance but she stayed on and was a definite pass mark when third to Sneaky Choice. Like her back up in trip, she’s a knockout hope.

6 Change My Address (Bet Now: $4.80) is a good gamble in the get out. She ran in the Midway at Randwick last time when held up in behind and didn’t really have proper clear air but she finished her race off well behind Bryant. Rising to 1400m, back to this level, clearly rates highly.

5 Johnny (Bet Now: $2.10) steps up to 1400m after racing over 1300m at Hawkesbury last start when off speed and did close off pretty well but I did think had his chance. If he can be within range, he has the finale to score.

2 Barbarossa (Bet Now: $14.00) ran last in the same race that Johnny contested. Market said he wasn’t there to play and ran accordingly. He likes getting his toe in so he gets conditions to suit and can run a much improved race at odds.

NEXT BEST: Race Eight Number 6 Change My Address

LONG SHOT: Race Seven Number 16 Mountain Queen
