The Tin Man up and running at Windsor

The Tin Man has made a pleasing return to action with victory in the Leisure Stakes at Windsor ahead of his defence of the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The James Fanshawe-trained sprinter travelled wide, but he was still too good for six rivals in the Listed sprint over six furlongs (1200m).

The Tin Man, who won the race in 2016, took control inside the final furlong and ended up defeating Dโ€™Bai by three-quarters of a length under Tom Queally.

โ€œHe seems really happy and Iโ€™m very relieved to win,โ€ Fanshawe said.

โ€œHopefully we are on course for the Diamond Jubilee again.โ€

Harry Angel is the 5-2 favourite for the Diamond Jubilee ahead of Australian Redkirk Warrior at 13-2.

Australian Group One winner Merchant Navy, now with Aidan Oโ€™Brien, is at 8-1 alongside The Tin Man.
