An unraced half-sister to Group 1-winning sprinter and successful stallion Russian Revolution has topped this week’s Inglis Digital August (Early) Online Sale, selling for $540,000.
Three-year-old Ballet’s Legacy, bred and raced by Belinda Bateman, was secured by New Zealand bloodstock agent Bruce Perry after attracting the highest bid of the sale.
The daughter of I Am Invincible barrier trialled three times for trainer Chris Waller but never made it to the racetrack.
Ballet’s Legacy boasts an outstanding pedigree as a half-sister to Group 3 winner Turbo Miss and Miss Interiors, the dam of champion first-season sire Home Affairs.
The second-highest priced lot and leading vendor from the Cornerstone Stud dispersal was Just Excel, the dam of last season’s Group 3 Gimcrack Stakes winner Shiki.
Just Excel was purchased by bloodstock agent Suman Hedge.
Cornerstone Stud also enjoyed a strong result with stakes-placed mare Tinker McPhee, who sold for $135,000 to Mustica Bloodstock.
The daughter of Nostradamus is currently in foal to Yulong sire Lucky Vega.
