The countdown to the New Zealand Bloodstock 2025 Ready to Run Sale is officially underway, with breeze-up videos now live on NZB’s website for buyers and agents to study ahead of the premier two-year-old auction.
Over 380 juveniles took to Te Rapa’s home straight across two days earlier this week, each gallop precisely timed over the final 200 metres. The impressive session averages saw day one clock 10.88 seconds on a Soft 6 track and day two slightly slower at 10.93 seconds on a Soft 5, resulting in an overall average of 10.91 seconds across all breeze-ups with the fastest being the Bivouac x Shrill gelding who ran a 10.27.
All videos, sectional times, and wind data are now available online, accompanied by high-definition footage capturing each horse from the 500-metre mark through to the end of their gallop. For ease of access, clips can be downloaded directly via Vimeo, while racing fans and prospective buyers can also catch televised broadcasts of the gallops on Trackside NZ and Racing.com from Monday, October 27 (6:00am–9:30am AEST).
The action moves to farms from November 4, when on-farm parades commence, offering buyers the chance to inspect their shortlisted lots in person. NZB agents and bloodstock professionals will be on hand to assist with selections, valuations, and bidding strategies as the 2025 Ready to Run Sale approaches.
With the breeze-ups complete and online resources now live, the stage is set for another competitive edition of New Zealand’s most successful sale of race-ready two-year-olds, renowned for producing Group 1 winners across Australasia and Asia.
