Champion mare Winx has surprisingly won her first ever barrier trial this morning at Randwick beating home a star field of horses.
Winx who had her sixteenth career barrier trial this morning won her first of her career after being revved up in the later stages of the jump out to take out the star studded trial.
Winx settled along the inside of the group and looked to dislike running near the witches hats which could be the reason regular jockey Hugh Bowman decided to get her into the clear thus winning her first trial.
Winx will return in the Warwick Stakes on August 19th which will kick-off her 2017 Cox Plate campaign.
