Amade, an 11-year-old gelding trained by Phillip Stokes, has retired following a remarkable racing career.
His final race was the Group 3 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Flemington on Champions Day.
A standout on the international stage, Amade won the Group 2 Belmont Gold Cup Invitational in the U.S. in 2019.
After moving to Australia, he claimed the Group 3 Geelong Cup in 2023 and the Listed Sandown Cup in 2024.
Across 39 starts, he earned 11 wins and over $1.2 million in prizemoney.
Trainer Phillip Stokes described him as βone of the quirkiest horses Iβve ever trained, but it was a privilege to do so.β
Owner OTI Racing praised his resilience, saying he βovercame many challenges during his lengthy race career.β
