Visiting French jockey Thomas Huet crossed another item off his bucket list with his first Saturday metropolitan winner at Randwick on Saturday.
Huet came to Australia in January, joining Gai Waterhouse, trainer of Queenstown who won the Pixable Handicap (2000m).

The 29-year-old had ridden seven provincial winners for his boss before getting the opportunity to ride Queenstown who was sent out at $12 in the race for three-year-olds.
He was patient on the filly who overhauled Faust ($20) in the straight to win by 1-1/4 lengths with Celtic Prince ($8.50) another length third.
“Coming to Australia had always been an ambition,” Huet said.
“I was very pleased to come here and to work for Gai Waterhouse.
“It is a beautiful place to work and it’s thrill to win my first city race.”
Waterhouse said Queenstown was near the end of her preparation and was not entered for the Queensland Oaks next weekend.
But she said she hoped to give Huet more opportunities.
“Thomas is a lovely balanced rider and a real asset to the stable,” she said.
“He is a pleasure to have around.”
Huet has ridden more than 400 winners including two at Group Two level in his homeland.
