G1 winning jockey fractures shoulder in fall

Group One winning jockey Jordan Childs will miss the Autumn racing carnival after suffering a fracture to his left shoulder following a fall at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

Childs fell from Zacouver in the seventh event at The Valley on Friday night and was rushed to hospital in what was believed to be a dislocated shoulder, however scans overnight showed the worse outlining the Blue Diamond Stakes winning jockey had actually suffered a fracture.

Childs was booked to ride Fabergino in todays G1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes as well as one of the leading contenders (Dosh) in this years Blue Diamond.
