Jockey Carleen Hefel is gearing up for a return to the racetrack after recovering from a dislocated shoulder sustained during Pakenham jumpouts last November.
Following seven weeks of intensive physiotherapy, Hefel has regained strong shoulder mobility and returned to riding work.
The injury, which interrupted her season after achieving 285 career wins, including 15 this season, also provided an unexpected break, refreshing her physically and mentally.
Now revitalised, Hefel is set to resume racing in a few weeks, eager to add to her impressive record as a former champion apprentice.
