You have to watch this race from Parx racecourse the other day.
Parx is a course in Pennsylvania in the US. It’s owned by a casino.
And after about 800m FLY TIME (Mr Speaker-Cashmere), ridden by Laureano Florez, and $11 chance, while trailing the field, just lost her rider.

It looks like the just jock jumped off.
Social media went batshit crazy with conspiracy and probable reasons for the dislodgement.
Many thought a stirrup broke and he just couldn’t stay on. Some say he just fainted and fell.
Others are more sinister in their thoughts. But one thing is for sure….you don’t just jump off a horse travelling at 100km an hour for nothing.
So what was the reason?
Well, like SOOOO many things about American horse racing that are backwards, that ruin the credibility of the sport globally, and that are just plain dumb, the Stewards decided to keep the explanation away from public scrutiny.
So no-one knows.
We don’t even know if Laureano was hurt or not.
All we got from the Parx officials was this, and I quote verbatim: “Fly Time lost his rider leaving the half mile marker.
Unbelievable, oh….they couldn’t even get the gender of the horse right in their explanation.
Fly Time is a filly.
