Quick Questions – Get to know trainer Todd Pollard

The newest trainer on the scene, Todd Pollard starts saddling up runners from his Eagle Farm base next month. With plenty of experience under his belt – including running the Neasham/Archibald Queensland stable for the last three and a half years, the Godolphin Flying Start graduate is excited about living his dream. He answered our QUICK QUESTIONS…

What made you take the plunge to go out on your own?

Has racing been a family passion?

Who is your favourite horse and why?

Atom Cat was the first horse I strapped and went on to win eight races – he was only small but always was determined!

Who is the best horse you’ve been involved with?

Zaaki.

And the best horse you have seen?

Lucky enough to see plenty of great horses across the world whilst on the Flying Start programme seeing Winx win was special.

Chris Waller.

Which horse currently racing would you love to train?

Mr Brightside, he turns up and always delivers.

What is your favourite racing moment/biggest thrill?

Any win is always exciting.

What is your favourite pastime outside of racing?

Any sport on TV.

Best concert you’ve seen?

Cold Chisel.

Favourite food?

Pizza.

Flemington.

If you weren’t a racehorse trainer what would you be doing?

Not many options but maybe a dairy farmer.
