A stack of quality mares are kicking off their Autumn campaign in the Millie Fox Stakes (1300m) this Saturday at Rosehill and it’s the new kid on the block that’s the favourite.
I Am Serious took the step up from benchmark mare to blacktype mare in the Spring, ending the prep with a confidence boosting Angst Stakes triumph. She has looked enormous in a couple of trials and the $3.50 on offer with Sportsbet looks more than acceptable.
Two runners at $6.50 are on the next line of betting and they are the quinella from the Breeders Classic two weeks ago, Champagne Cuddles and Cool Passion. The latter has more upside so suspect she’ll turn the tables.
There has been good support at odds for Jamaican Rain ($17-$13-$15) who is first up but bear in mind is also accepted for Caulfield and the Mannerism.
