Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting. Hopefully we can continue on from last Saturday after finding Remarque at $7.
Randwick Race Six Number 10 Lazzago ($9.00):
Lazzago was a crazy price at $11 so happy to be on at that price. Defied a significant betting drift to win on debut here back on December 17 when launching late off the moderate speed and clocked outstanding late splits to win. Trialled last week at Warwick Farm and for mine, she looked to be absolutely jogging and could have won the trial comfortably had Clark sneezed on her. This will be a fast run 1100m so want to be on something strong late and she will be that.
Randwick Race Nine Number 10 Bellatrix Black ($19):
Happy to take a punt on Kiwi mare Bellatrix Black, who makes her Australian debut for Kris Lees. She did a good job in NZ around 11 months, winning a key lead up to the NZ Oaks, the Sunline Vase, before a good effort in the NZ Oaks after spotting them a big start. Her two trials to get ready have been very good to the eye and yes, 1200m is short of her best, but off the trials, she’s flying and is worth an each way speck.
Sandown Race Five Number 6 Laced Up Heels ($8.50):
Laced Up Heels looks a filly with a serious engine under the hood. Luke Fernie trained filly that resumes, having not raced since the WA Carnival when second in the WA Champion Fillies where IMO, she just didn’t run the mile out. To me, she seems more a sharp filly best suited at sprint trips, so like that she resumes at 1100m here, and she sizzled in a Belmont trial last week. Confident she measures up.
Doomben Race Nine Number 13 Subterranean ($7.50):
Subterranean should love the rise to 1350m here. She resumed over 1200m at Doomben and took a while to get into his work but I didn’t mind the way he finished his race off behind Fastconi, who bolted up last Saturday at the Sunny Coast, so the form clearly reads well and fitter, up to 1350m, it all points to him running a much improved race.
