5. Van Roy: He ran very well over 1700m at Warrnambool last start and tried hard when second to Ocean Beyond. The rise in trip is a query but he’s a genuine animal.
6. Lodbrok: Dare say he is using this as a prep run for the jumps.
7. Royal Mile: Plain in the Sir Kingsford race mentioned above. But, not sure he’s going well enough to threaten.
8. Dual Fuel: Dual Fuel is a hit and miss mare but when she is on, she is certainly up to these. She ran over the mile three weeks back at Morphettville when back in the run and failed to come on. Like the rise to 2000m for her and she has good upside. Throw at the stumps each way.
9. Adjudicate: Eligible for much easier but was sneaky good at Warrnambool last start and has upside/progression vs most.
10. Wondering Spirit: Not up to these.
11. Kelly Ann: Always respect Wayne Walters on the home track but this horse looks up against it.
