Grahame Begg’s three year old Ilovethiscity has been given a textbook ride by Brenton Avdulla to win the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m), run this year at Warwick Farm.
Ilovethiscity was produced at the 300m and was able to hold off Skilled, who charged close to the line.
Light Brigade was third, just ahead of Absolutelyawesome.
Absolutelyawesome was arguably unlucky, with Glen Boss changing course numerous times in the straight.
