The Carlyon Cup is a Group 3 mile race at Caulfield held under set weights with penalties each February.
It attracts quality open middle-distance gallopers and can set up spring or autumn campaigns, often acting as a launchpad toward bigger targets like the Peter Young Stakes or Australian Cup later in the season.
Ciaron Maher is set to run a squad of horses in the Carlyon Cup with Light Infantry Man, Willydoit and Holymanz to be in the entries, alongside Rise At Dawn, Immediacy, Charterhouse and Air Assault.
