Racing returns to the Parks track at Morphettville this Saturday with a nine race program, with a two year old race added due to the abandonment of the Balaklava meeting on Wednesday. The weather is overcast, the track is soft (7) and the rail is out a metre from the 1000m-500ml True for the remainder.

Race One (11:55) : Schweppes Handicap 1000m:
Back Me: Looks a put in/take out job here via 1 Manuel (Bet Now: $1.85). This well bred colt for Tony McEvoy debuted at Flemington during the Spring and was far from disgraced when fourth to Sweet Sherry when starting odds on. Loved his recent trial at Gawler, and really, if he turns up fit and healthy, he should be taking care of these.
Big Danger: 2 Showpero (Bet Now: $3.00) debuted on May 28 at this track/distance and showed super speed to lead and she just dashed clear in the straight when asked by Holder. Little break between runs is the query, but that win was sharp and she beat home a couple of handy types. Very hard to beat here IMO.
Roughie: 8 Vienna Miss (Bet Now: $13.00) debuted in the Autumn and was alright I thought when midfield to the above average Stokes youngster Neopolitan. No trials, but only carries 52.5kg after the claim and is a must for exotics.

Race Two (12:28) : Projection Grpahics Handicap (82) 1950m:
Back Me: 3 General Custer (Bet Now: $1.75) and Hoylake fought out a race last week and I think they’ll quinella again, with the General getting the nod. He has been in fabulous form in recent times, most notably since coming to SA. He meets Hoylake 1kg better off for beating him, and I think he’ll hold the margin.
Big Danger: 4 Hoylake (Bet Now: $3.30) is slowly getting back to fitness and that was just clear late in the race last Saturday where he just died on the run and had to settle for second to General Custer. He should be close to peak fitness now and he will be in it for a long way.
Roughie: 5 Subiaso (Bet Now: $17.00) has been a bit of a donkey for some time but he does drop significantly in depth after coming through a race at Sandown last Wednesday where he did too much work on speed. If he showed any of his best form, he’d spank these.

Race Three (13:03) : Hughes Chauffeured Limousines Maiden Plate 1000m:
Back Me: 10 Arizona Wildcat (Bet Now: $3.30) debuted on the course proper three weeks back where she sat on speed and fought on pretty well when running third to the above average Streets Of Liberty. Not as much depth, should be on speed and the claim helps.
Big Danger: 14 She’s Starstruck (Bet Now: $11.00) debuted at the midweeks here a tick over two weeks back where she was on the pace most of the way and just tired late when running second to impressive debut winner Arkham Knight. The ‘Poon Train’ steers now and though drawn wide, she’s a leading contender.
Roughie: 2 Ashero (Bet Now: $13.00) debuted at this track/distance a month back where he showed good speed to lead and he only felt the pinch late when running fifth to stablemate Chapel City. Should appreciate the little freshen up and he does have the run under the belt.

Race Four (13:42) : UBET Handicap 1300m:
Back Me: 3 Megashot (Bet Now: $6.50) is a gelding who is making his debut for Tony McEvoy. He had two trials in Sydney in the Summer and was okay I thought. Now in SA and he trialled well at Gawler a tick under a month back. 1300m first up isn’t easy, but he has had the solid 1000m trial leading in, so I’ll respect him.
Big Danger: 5 Zunbaqa (Bet Now: $6.00) was okay on debut at Ballarat when wide before going to the Geelong Synthetic where she was out of trouble on speed and found enough to get the job done. Up to 1300m is a little query, but she doesn’t take on much here and stable is flying in SA.
Roughie: 10 Swipe Me Right (Bet Now: $7.50) ran over 1200m on the course proper a fortnight back where he had the charmed run off the speed and chased hard when a strong third to Captain Duffy, beaten three lengths. Draws wide here, but the claim helps and this is a thin race.

Race Five (14:18) : Robbie’s Chop Shop Handicap 1000m:
Back Me: 3 Cocoa Doll (Bet Now: $2.70) is a very talented filly that resumes for Phillip Stokes. She had two runs during the Carnival, winning first up before a close up fourth go Group l performer Don’t Doubt Mamma. That form reads very well for a race like this. Major threat despite no trial.
Big Danger: 1 Vicki’s Boy (Bet Now: $2.80) has been given a five week freshen up since winning impressively at this track/distance. Break between runs is some query, but the quality is there and he loves racing on the Parks track.
Roughie: 4 Ascendance (Bet Now: $3.30) ran down the straight at Flemington a fortnight back and was very good in defeat when running a close up fourth to the above average three year old Spieth. Significan depth drop here, will be on speed and that racing pattern suits the Parks track.

Race Six (14:58) : Holdfast Insurance Handicap (90) 1400m:
Back Me: 9 Arctic Song (Bet Now: $6.00) ran on the course proper three weeks ago where he was wide no cover for the trip, and with 60kg on his back, that is pretty much mission impossible, so for him to finish just under two lengths from the winner was a really good effort. If he gets better luck here, he will be a major, major winning prospect.
Big Danger: 2 Cellarmaster (Bet Now: $7.00) ran over this distance at Flemington a fortnight back where he sat off speed and tried hard when a close up fourth to the in form Jacquinot Bay. Third up now, so he should be ready fitness wise, and he does save his best for the Parks track. Hard to beat.
Roughie: 1 Conservatorium (Bet Now: $18.00) resumed after retirement with a ripping third here behind stablemate Heart Of A Lion before racing flat second up behind Daytona Grey. Third up now, so he should close to peak fitness, 1400m is his pet distance and he does look to map very well here with not much speed engaged.

Race Seven (15:38) : Medallion Homes Handicap (75) 1300m:
Back Me: 5 Miss Joolia (Bet Now: $8.50) ran over 1200m on the course proper a fortnight back and chased hard and actually closed off alright late behind Counter Spin, running a 2.8L fourth. Record on the Parks track is a tad suspect, but she draws well and Finnegan steers, and her claim helps.
Big Danger: 4 Shacarde (Bet Now: $3.30) has been given a five week freshen up since bolting over 1400m here, aided by a brilliant steer from Neilson. The little break will do no harm here I suspect; the horror gate will. If she can overcome that, she’s a definite threat.
Roughie: 2 Debeersonus (Bet Now: $7.50) ran over 1200m on the course proper three weeks back where he attempted to lead all the way and gave a really good kick but was overpowered late by Mubbakir. He has a really good record on the Parks track and draws a lovely gate.

Race Eight (16:18) : Quayclean Handicap (82) 1000m:
Back Me: 7 Super Fun (Bet Now: $3.40) has been in ripping form in recent times for the Hayes/Dabernig yard. He has won three of his last four, the latest coming over this track/distance when ridden a treat by Jason Holder. Hardest test to date here, but he is in form and I’d be shocked if he didn’t measure up.
Big Danger: 6 Usain Dane (Bet Now: $5.00) has been given a little freshen up since running a game second over 1250m here behind Manhattan Blues, beaten narrowly in a good finish. He does race best fresh, draws well, Holder steers and he handles a track with moisture.
Roughie: 4 Double Pockets (Bet Now: $26.00) was fabulous against the tempo two back at 1000m before racing at 1400m at Murray Bridge where the distance gap was a bridge too far. Back to 1000m is perfect and he should take some beating here.

Race Nine (16:56) : MAC Drink Driving? GROW UP Handicap (70) 1300m:
Back Me: 1 Chamois Road (Bet Now: $4.40) ran here a month ago and was quite simply dominant in disposing of his rivals. He has since trialled at St Arnaud and looked very good there. Stable knows when to travel them and he looks the one to beat.
Big Danger: 5 Kifaah (Bet Now: $7.50) was well backed in betting when resuming three weeks ago on the course proper and stuck to the task pretty well behind the above average three year old Pomp. Should take good improvement from that and blinkers on first time.
Roughie: 9 Murti (Bet Now: $11.00) ran at Murray Bridge a month back and didn’t receive the best of luck in the straight when appearing to have plenty to offer. Ran well in town without luck the start prior, so he can definitely measure up.
