Race 1 STUART NUNN’S 60TH HANDICAP 12.50 P.M (AEDST)
The day kicks off with a handy 9-horse field tackling the 1800m. My top tip is Trust In Magic (1) who has been racing exceptionally well over recent weeks and comes off a last start second to Colden’s Choice. He has the big weight but still looks the goods. Tabulated (2) and Froese (5) make up the minors.

Race 2 HARRY PERKS HANDICAP 1.25 P.M
Mr Good Cat (1) looks another promising horse who continues to race well and draws well in the second event. This four-year-old son of Tale Of The Cat will be very hard to beat and should get all the favours from barrier 2. War Ends (2) has been very costly for favourite backers over his last 3 starts but can atone whilst Test Century (8) has little weight to contend with and should be around the money.

Race 3 MARSH BREEDERS’ STAKES 02.03 P.M
Favourite for race 3 is the Lee Freedman-trained Rescue Mission (5) who found trouble on debut at Flemington before getting back in the field and rattling home behind the speedy Anevay. He looks above average. Tang Prosper (3) looks a good place chance as does Rockshaft (4), Anythingthatmoves (2) and Redangelo (1).

Rockshaft (4)
Race 4 KERRY O’BRIEN HANDICAP 02.45 P.M
D-Day for Stakhanovite (2) today. He couldn’t be more consistent without winning and although he is yet to win at Morphettville in 13 tries he meets a much weaker field than he did at his last 3 starts and could break the drought. Prussia Island (6) and Sandhill Lad (3) make up the minors.

Sandhill Lad (3)
Race 5 SLOANS SANDS MATRICE STAKES 03.32 P.M
Time Matters (1) looks extremely well placed to take out the fifth event. He hasn’t missed once in 3 goes at the track his form over the distance is of some concern but when Darren Weir brings his horses to South Australia he has a strike rate second
to none. Das Machen (6) is well above average and was touted as a Cox Plate runner 12 months ago so she has obvious class. Rock The Moment (5) isn’t without some chance.

Race 6 SHARON FORRESTER-JONES HANDICAP 04.17 P.M
Although he will be up for sale at the end of the month, Caplamp (1) is a horse that oozes ability and should get a good run from barrier 4 and prove extremely hard to beat. Hillfire (6) was kept from last nights Moonee Valley meeting for this and should be thereabouts as should Lee Freedman’s Belle Chantecler (8).

Belle Chantecler (8)
Race 7 BOAG’S LORD REIMS STAKES 04.55 P.M
Maunatrice (6) is a remarkable mare that has taken it all before her this preperation and continues to be thrown in the deep and continues to win and win well. Dean Yendall takes the ride on the Darren Weir-trained mare and she is the one to beat. Mornington Cup winner Guyno (1) is a good chance and Zauberin (9) can run a race.
***Maunatrice (6)***
Guyno (1)
Zauberin (9)
Race 8 KEN SMITH AM HANDICAP 05.34 P.M
Load up in the last. Public Holiday (7) is one of our favourites at JHR and looks a good chance in the last. She’s well weighted and has the booking of top hoop Chris Symons which holds her is good stead. Homicide Hank (2) was beaten by a very good horse in Fantastic Glen last start and should be around the money and through in Generous Beau (4), Road Warrior (6), Adoptme Two (8) and Puerto Banus (9).
Public Holiday (7)
Homicide Hank (2)
Generous Beau (4)
BEST BET: Take a double: Race 3 – Rescue Mission (5) & Race 7 – Maunatrice (6).
QUADDIE: 1,5,6 / 1,6 / 1,6 / 2,4,6,7,8,9 /
