Wyong Race One: Number Two Heuriger
Was a drifting favourite on debut at Kembla and after going back in the run, the son of Elusive Quality hit the line nicely to finish third, two lengths away from the winner. He was a bit green in the straight so he would have improved on that run. Drawn well for todays race, has Josh Parr riding and the Snowden camp is hot at present. A couple of first starters are sure to be well fancied so this bloke will be a good price.
Wyong Race Six: Number One Popnae
I tipped him when he won last start and I think he can repeat that this afternoon. He was taken to the front by Hugh Bowman and after controlling the tempo, he sprinted hard the last 600m to record a smart win. Has to go up to 58kg but he has done it in the past and this race doesn’t have much more depth than what he beat last start. Back him with confidence.
Sale Race Three: Number Fourteen Scarlett Pulse
He had no idea what to do when debuting on February 13 at Seymour. He was midfield throughout and seemed to travel pretty well in the run, but when the rider asked for an effort he didn’t find much. That was over 1100m and being by Volksraad he’ll appreciate the rise to 1419m. Drawn nicely in barrier five so he’ll get the gun the run in transit. The Moroney/McLeod combination struck on Monday at Terang and at odds, they can do it here with Scarlet Pulse.
