A cracking program of racing has been set down for Eagle Farm this Saturday with blacktype right across the board. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

Race One (13:27) : Coca Cola RQ Summer Provincial Series Final (0MW) 1400m:

Back Me: 3 Banda Spice (Bet Now: $10.00) looks a near good thing here with luck in running from the gate. She has been great this time in. Kicked off the prep here where she worked home late when second to Invincible Express before bolting up at the Gold Coast. She then went to the Gold Coast and though out of tickets late, she clung on. I think she will be better ridden with a sit, and if that can eventuate here, considering she has blacktype form from this time last year…keen on her.
Big Danger: 7 I Am The Sculptor (Bet Now: $6.00) came with a well timed run to get the job done when resuming over 1200m at the Sunny Coast under Jeff Lloyd on the day/night he rode seven. He then ran over 1400m at that track where he got back in the run and couldn’t quite close off with any real purpose when sixth to French Hussler. He is another horse who was brilliant fresh and then somewhat flat second up and potentially can bounce back hard third up.
Long Shot: 10 D’Harmony (Bet Now: $6.50) took on three rivals last time out at the Sunshine Coast where he sat off speed in the run and despite wanting to lay in early on in the straight, he proved far too classy for his rivals and won with plenty up the sleeve to my eye. Looks quite the progressive type who can measure up here for sure with the right run.

Race Two (14:02) : Sky Racing Shoot Out Quality 2200m:

Back Me: 1 High Church (Bet Now: $1.90) clearly on top for me. He put the writing on the wall in the Eclipse and then at the Valley before going to the Werribee Cup where he was given a 12/10 from Mick Dee and the horse repaid that steer with a comfortable two length win. Can only see him suited up to 2200m and the depth engaged here looks quite thin.
Big Danger: 2 Feltre (Bet Now: $12.00) was a real eye catcher when resuming in the Recognition, making up good ground to run third to Cylinder Beach. He then went to the Brisbane Handicap and perhaps had a case of the second up syndrome behind Man Of His Word, also keeping in mind he was ridden too close to the speed. I think ridden with a sit, he can bounce back third up.
Long Shot: 4 Col ‘N’ Lil (Bet Now: $7.00) returns back home after a two run stint in Sydney where I thought she was quite solid last start at Randwick when making up really good ground over the final 150m when fourth to Moher. Start prior at Rosehill was a forgive effort because she was back in an on pace dominated affair. She has some really good stats at 2000m+ and is a must for exotics.

Race Three (14:37) : Gopher Coffee Falvelon Quality 1000m:

Back Me: 7 Hidden Pearl (Bet Now: $3.50) is a nippy mare for Barry Lockwood who hasn’t raced since September 24 over 1200m at Eagle Farm where she just did far too much on speed and weakened late when fourth to Londehero, who at the time was one of the form gallopers in Brisbane. She’s lethal at 1000m, fresh, Eagle Farm and handles all ground. Can see why she will be potentially popular with punters.
Big Danger: 8 Viddora (Bet Now: $5.50) is a classy mare from SA who resumes here for Lloyd Kennewell. She raced four times during the Winter/Spring, which included a first up win over Ocean Embers before a narrow second to subsequent Group l placegetter Heatherly at the Valley. From all reports and vision via Twitter, she has settled into Qld very nicely and she has an exceptional fresh record.
Long Shot: 1 Into The Red (Bet Now: $16.00) resumed over 1000m here four weeks back in the George Moore where he was unwanted in betting but despite that, he ran quite well I thought, making ground to finish sixth to Most Important. Interesting that he is back to 1000m, but the speed will be hot and he will be strong late for sure.

Race Four (15:13) : BRC Vo Rogue Plate 1300m:

Back Me: I’m keen on 5 Natural Black (Bet Now: $31.00) to run a mighty race here. He ran over 1200m under the lights of the Sunny Coast last Wednesday where he got back in the run and looked in big trouble before Browne eventually found a gap nearer the inside and the last 150m was like a barrier trial. He will be very strong at the end of 1300m and will do no work from the gate, whereas Winning Rupert may cop some serious heat here.
Big Danger: 1 Winning Rupert (Bet Now: $1.10) is a star, no denying that. He is an absolute speed demon who smashed the track record first up here before going to Doomben where he again gave the track record a nudge. 1300m is a different pain barrier, and more depth here, but he is quite exciting and will be in it for a long way.
Long Shot: 3 Billy The Kid (Bet Now: $16.00) is the best hope of the locals. He has been outstanding both runs this time in, both coming here and both times he has bolted up, the latest over 1400m on November 26 and the form since has been great. Fast run 1300m will really suit this galloper and he has a stack of upside.

Race Five (15:48) : Lilivale Stud B.J. McLachlan Stakes 1200m:

Back Me: 11 Colosimo (Bet Now: $21.00) is a smart filly for Steve O’Dea who will use this as an ideal tune up for the Magic Millions. She is two from two and on both occasions she has been very good. Bolted up despite being green on debut at the Gold Coast before racing at this track/distance where she was given a peach from McEvoy and duly saluted. More depth here, but she’ll be strong late, hard fit and has home track advantage.
Big Danger: 13 Debonairly (Bet Now: $6.50) was a drifter in betting when debuting at Warwick Farm but nobody told the filly that as she led all the way and absolutely bolted in by nearly five lengths and ran very sharp time. She’ll need to produce that again here, and perhaps better it, but she’s definitely in the right stable to achieve that goal.
Long Shot: 16 Umawinner (Bet Now: $17.00) is a Real Saga filly that debuts for the Candyke yard. She comes here off the back of two barrier trials, the latest coming last Tuesday at the Sunshine Coast when bolting up by four lengths and running sizzling time. Tough race to debut in, but she looks above average.

Race Six (16:28) : Buffering Quality 1300m:

Back Me: 2 Ninth Legion (Bet Now: $21.00), like a couple of runners here, come through the Lough Neagh and I thought his effort in defeat was quite tidy given he was wide most of the way on a hot speed before forcing the issue to lead. He did give a mini at the top of the straight but was beaten off and settled for fourth to Most Important. I think if he doesn’t do as much work here, he can definitely turn the tables and looks a good price.
Big Danger: 3 Most Important (Bet Now: $2.70) has been one of the form gallopers in Brisbane in recent times, winning his last two starts in impressive fashion, starting off with the George Moore before being far too good for his rivals in the Lough Neagh. Despite the 2kg weight rise, he’s hard fit and in winning form. Ticks alot of boxes.
Long Shot: 8 Trubia (Bet Now: $12.00) hasn’t raced for four weeks since resuming in the George Moore where he got a long way back in the run but gee he really finished his race off with purpose when running third to Most Important, beaten three lengths. He does have a really good second up record, as well as at Eagle Farm, and he does have the fresh legs.

Race Seven (17:08) : Magic Millions Bernborough Quality 1600m:

Back Me: 7 Man Of His Word (Bet Now: $3.00) was a hard horse to follow at times, but he has really turned the corner recently, putting together two very impressive wins, the latest coming in the Brisbane Handicap when savaging the line nearer the inside to end up winning the race with a bit in reserve. Eagle Farm mile is ideal, draws a lovely gate and Lloyd sticks.
Big Danger: 5 Cylinder Beach (Bet Now: $3.50) was a brilliant winner of the Recognition first up before going to the Brisbane Handicap last time out where he chimed in out and wide and looked the winner but he was bloused late inside by Man Of His Word. Eagle Farm 1600m is a big tick for mine, and being third up, he should just about be ready fitness wise. Hard to beat.
Long Shot: 12 Lord Lumberjack (Bet Now: $8.50) is a former French galloper that made his Australian debut for the Busuttin/Young yard at Flemington over the mile where he led at a solid tempo and though under pressure early on in the straight, he kept finding and whacked away strongly when third to Aurum Spirit, who franked the form with another strong effort last Saturday. Certainly capable here and stable should always be respected when they travel.

Race Eight (17:48) : UBET Nudgee Quality 1200m:

Back Me: I’m clearly in the 2 Global Glamour (Bet Now: $3.20) camp here and indeed the Magic Millions Guineas. She is a high class filly that is back for the Waterhouse/Bott yard who was just outstanding during the Spring, with the clear highlight being the Flight/Thousand Guineas double within seven days. Flight produced the Spring Champion winner/Cox Plate placegetter and the Thousand Guineas produced the Myer winner. Trial at Randwick was high class, she’s tough…looks the winner.
Big Danger: 3 Ocean Embers (Bet Now: $13.00) is a talented mare that comes to Queensland for Shea Eden. She was one of the better performed mares of the Winter/Spring, highlighted by a sizzling effort to win the Cockram at Caulfield before solid efforts behind Star Turn and Sheidel, both of which subsequent Group l placegetters. No trials or jump outs, but she is lethal fresh and the speed in front of her will be hot.
Long Shot: 5 Sold For Song (Bet Now: $14.00) performed very well during the Autumn/Winter, so much so that trainer Kevin Kemp targeted her for the Sydney Spring, but after two failures, she is back home and resumes here. Class/quality wise, she is right in this. 1200m at Eagle Farm fresh looks suitable, plus she’ll get a hot speed in front of that will give her every chance to run on, and we know she can produce a lethal sectional.
