Race One (14:13) : Jim Chadwick 80th Birthday Plate 1000m:
Back Me: 1 Dainty Tess (Bet Now: $5.50) has been given a four week let up since winning impressively over this track/distance despite doing plenty of work in the run. There isn’t much of her, but she’s tough and talented. Hard to beat.
Big Danger: 2 The Celt (Bet Now: $4.40) resumed over 1200m here a couple of weeks back and attempted to lead all the way but just felt the pinch late. Should take good benefit from that and back to 1000m is a big tick.
Roughie: 9 Bounce Down is a filly on debut here for Lindsey Smith. Has trialled on several occasions leading in and has looked impressive at her past couple. Drawn wide and only has to overcome that to be a leading contender.

Back Me: 8 Forever Diamonds (Bet Now: $4.60) is a handy filly that resumes for Grant Williams. She contested some really good races last time in and a recent trial at Lark Hill was quite encouraging. Has the class to win this for sure.

Race Three (15:33) : Young Membership 2016/17 Handicap (1MW) 1200m:
Back Me: 4 Majinika (Bet Now: $3.20) resumed over 1200m here last Wednesday and was very good in getting the job done, albeit in an easier assignment. Has enormous upside and the stable is going really well.
Big Danger: 5 Tranquilla Sunrise (Bet Now: $2.90) attempted to lead all the way here three weeks back but was simply no match for the potential star that is State Solicitor. Not that level of horse here and if he can lead without too much trouble, he will take some beating.
Roughie: 2 Pop Hero (Bet Now: $21.00) ran over 1200m here a couple of Wednesdays back when running a close up fourth to Scottish Trader. Rises to Saturday grade but this isn’t a strong race, plus he draws to sit with cover and ambush, and jockey Glenn Smith is riding in fab form at the moment.

Race Four (16:13) : Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour August 9 Handicap (72+) 2100m:
Back Me: 11 Present Arms (Bet Now: $4.80) attempted to lead all the way here three weeks back but was simply no match for the potential star that is State Solicitor. Not that level of horse here and if he can lead without too much trouble, he will take some beating.
Big Danger: 1 Drive West (Bet Now: $7.50) ran here last Saturday and closed off okay late in the piece behind I’m Feeling Lucky. Looks better placed here in a race with not as much depth and is a major threat.
Roughie: 2 Fulgur ran seventh in that I’m Feeling Lucky race last weekend and his effort was okay considering is relatively new into a prep. He has enormous upside and this isn’t a strong race.

Race Five (16:49) : Jockey Celebration Day August 6 Handicap 1300m:
Back Me: 2 Blackwood (Bet Now: $4.80) is a classy filly that resumes for Fred Kersley. She contested some really good races last time in, including the Kingston Town behind Delicacy. Recent trial here was sharp and draws well.
Big Danger: 1 Bombs Away (Bet Now: $10.00) ran over 1000m here last Saturday where he showed good speed and looked home but was bloused late by the above average Black Dynamite. Up to 1300m suits and is hard fit.
Roughie: 8 Royal Supreme (Bet Now: $31.00) ran over the mile here a couple of weeks back where she got back in the run and just stayed there behind Mosserati, who was smashed in betting. Back in trip is a clear tick and she’s in the right yard.

Race Six (17:25) : James Boags Premium Sprint (72+) 1300m:
Back Me: 1 Black Dynamite (Bet Now: $1.80) is a talented galloper that was a very impressive winner here last Saturday when darting up the fence to grab Bombs Away. He is in ripping form at the moment and this looks no harder. The one to beat.
Big Danger: 6 It’s It (Bet Now: $5.00) ran over 1400m here last Saturday where he tried hard and wasn’t far off when third to Stocks, beaten a length. I like that he is on the seven day turnaround, he’s hard fit and in form.
Roughie: 5 Conjob (Bet Now: $15.00) has been given a seven week freshen up since closing off well behind another well above average galloper in Vega Magic. Speed looks as though it will be good here and he will be strong late.

Race Seven (18:00) : HG Bolton Sprint 1200m:
Back Me: 1 Rock Magic (Bet Now: $8.00) resumed in the Beaufine and was a real eye catcher late in the piece behind Military Reign. He will love getting back on top of the ground and draws to sit and ambush. Major contender for sure.
Big Danger: 3 Red Ora (Bet Now: $3.40) is a talented gelding that resumes for the Morton yard. He contested some really strong races last time in and performed very well in Stakes company. Comes here with no trials, but has class and a lethal first up record.
Roughie: 7 General Groove (Bet Now: $34.00), like most, comes through the Beaufine where he got back in the run and worked home well without threatening. Firmer footing is right up his alley and draws well for his racing pattern.

Race Eight (18:35) : Gold Membership 2016/17 Handicap (66+) 1600m :
Back Me: 5 Material Man (Bet Now: $3.20) has been given a three week let up since racing over 1400m here, sitting back in the run and closing off well without threatening behind the in form Socially Unique. In the right stable and has upside.
Big Danger: 9 Cronkite showed an electric turn of foot here last Saturday to dash to the front 200m to go and held on gamely for a narrow but impressive win. He’s the form horse engaged here and no reason why he can’t continue the picket fence.
Roughie: 2 Wroughted (Bet Now: $34.00) ran at Kalgoorlie a couple of weeks back and was okay without setting the world on fire behind the proven city performer Reflectance. Hasn’t won for a while, but he draws well and is a must for exotics.
