Race One (15:53) : Morley Growers Market Plate 1200m:
Back Me: 1 Wrinkly (Best Odds: $2.80) ran over this track/distance a fortnight back and showed good speed to lead all the way and won quite impressively I thought. This race looks a bit easier and despite the wide gate, he is the one to beat.
Big Danger: 2 Ryamar (Best Odds: $8.00) debuted behind Wrinkly and did an alright job I thought to run third. He looks to have a bit of upside left and is drawn immediately inside Wrinkly, so he could well get the good run in transit if he jumps cleanly.
Roughie: 10 Quiet Whisper (Best Odds: $26.00) debuts here for the Trevor Andrews yard off the back of a couple of handy trial efforts, the latest on February 8 at Belmont when running a close up third. Bred to be good so watch betting.

Race Two (16:33) : Membership Pro-Rata Rates Handicap (72+) 2400m:
Back Me: 1 Cougar Express (Best Odds: $2.40) has been up for a while but continues to race very well. He ran over this track/distance two weeks ago and tried hard but couldn’t hold out the in form Dark Alert. Meets a similar field and the claim for Aaron Mitchell is a big advantage.
Big Danger: 4 Keysbrook (Best Odds: $5.50) was bolting in the run in that race mentioned above and looked the winner on the turn but as soon as he straightened up, the wheels just started spinning and was disappointing. His form prior was very good and he strikes a winnable race here.
Roughie: 2 Bayatorio (Best Odds: $6.50) is on the back up from last Saturday when he raced over 1800m here when running a close up second to Saker. Back up in trip should suit, though he is yet to win at 2400m. Still, a winning chance.

Race Three (17:13) : City Of Belmont Community Raceday- April 9 Handicap (72+) 1600m:
Back Me: 1 North Ridge (Best Odds: $2.50) was very impressive in winning last time out over 1500m here. That was only his second up run, so he should have plenty of upside left and looks the clear horse to beat.
Big Danger: 8 Socially Unique (Best Odds: $4.40) ran over this track/distance last Saturday and was very sharp in getting the job done, aided by a lovely ride from in form rider Glenn Smith. Pike takes over now and he has ridden the horse very well previously. The main threat for sure.
Roughie: 7 Crystal Gardens (Best Odds: $12.00) broke through for a well deserved win last time out albeit in a much easier race at Albany that carried little depth. She has performed well in town previously and Johnston-Porter rides the mare well.

Race Four (17:50) : St Patricks Day- March 12 Handicap (1MW) 1000m:
Back Me: 1 Jingtang (Best Odds: $5.50) is the class runner and rightfully goes on top. This son of Starcraft performed alright in the Placid Ark during the Carnival and was far from disgraced. Draws terribly, but if he can overcome that, he’ll take some beating.
Big Danger: 5 Express Boy (Best Odds: $5.50) debuted at Bunbury a couple of weeks back and showed a lovely turn of foot when ridden off the speed and looked to have a bit in reserve. Has enormous upside and I like the fact the stable sends him straight to town.
Roughie: 6 Loopy’s Ladies (Best Odds: $16.00) resumed here a fortnight back and was trapped three wide no cover on speed throughout and had no hope soon after that. She draws better here, so she should be better off here and is a knockout chance.

Race Five (18:25) : MInearc Systems Handicap (78+) 1000m:
Back Me: 5 Secret Nova (Best Odds: $5.00) has really found his best in recent times, winning two on the bounce, the latest over this track/distance two weeks back. Continues to rise in weight, and it will catch up soon, but while he keeps winning, I’ll go his way.
Big Danger: 9 Volkhoff (Best Odds: $3.50) ran over 1100m here three weeks back and worked home strongly late when running second to Regal Commander, who is a well above average type. Fast run 1000m looks perfect and should take some beating.
Roughie: 6 Woolibar (Best Odds: $15.00) ran fifth in that race mentioned above that Secret Nova won and worked home strongly late to run fifth, beaten just over two lengths. He is looking for further, but he will be very strong late.

Race Six (19:05) : WATC Derby Day- April 16 Handicap 1200m:
Back Me: 1 Just Act Natural (Best Odds: $2.25) looks one of the rising stars of WA racing. He has won three on the bounce, the latest over 1100m here two weeks ago when leading at a solid tempo and careering away for a dominant win. Only bad luck will beat him here.
Big Danger: 3 Pushin’ Shapes (Best Odds: $12.00) ran fourth in that race mentioned above and his effort was pretty good considering he got a long way back in the run. Has plenty of upside and has performed well at Stakes level before.
Roughie: 11 Skylar Storm (Best Odds: $21.00) won her maiden in impressive fashion over 1400m at Bunbury last time out, getting the perfect sit behind the tempo before getting the split and darting clear. Interesting to note that Pike sticks and despite the wide gate, she’ll prove hard to hold out.

Race Seven (19:42 : Karrakatta Plate Day- April 2 Handicap (1MW) 2150m:
Back Me: 5 Magic Rocket (Best Odds: $9.00) ran over this track/distance three weeks back and stuck on very well when fifth to Keysbrook, beaten four lengths. Has plenty of upside and is in the right stable.
Big Danger: 3 Flying Force (Best Odds: $5.50) ran third in that race mentioned above and seemingly had his chance but his effort was still more than satisfactory. He is struggling to greet the judge, but he finds a very winnable race here.
Roughie: 10 Indi Pacific (Best Odds: $21.00) had her first go at the trip in the same race and after getting the 1/1 sit, she didn’t really fire a shot in the straight. She is better than that, so don’t drop off her yet.

Race Eight (20:20) : Stone Motherless After The Races Handicap (1MW) 1400m:
Back Me: 6 Pounamu (Best Odds: $1.90) looks a good thing in the last. He had performed well at Stakes level in Sydney but couldn’t crack it for a win. Sent to WA, he is two from two, and with normal luck, he’ll make it three from three. Looks a potential Carnival horse.
Big Danger: 1 Conjob (Best Odds: $13.00) has been given a month freshen up since winning over 1200m here in what has turned out to be a strong form race. He does race best when produced fresh and should do no work from the gate.
Roughie: 14 Yoshi Noxious (Best Odds: $7.00) is a three year old gelding that takes on the older horses here after running a solid fifth to Just Act Natural, beaten just over four lengths. He has plenty of upside and despite the horror draw, he is a definite must for exotics.
