Race One (1:03pm) : Medallion Homes Handicap (82) 1950m:
Back Me: Temps Voleur (Best Odds: $2.00) is a Robbie Laing trained runner who ran over the mile at Morphettville a couple of weeks back and that man again Dom Tourneur was at it once more, producing an absolute peach to beat home an in form galloper in Rocket Commander. Back up in trip looks perfect and he is in great form at the moment.
Big Danger: Stimulate (Best Odds: $2.50) was given a lovely ride from apprentice Grace Willoughby to win the Mindarie-Halidon Cup a couple of weeks back. Back up to city level, but this is a thin race and Josh Cartwright rides this horse better than anyone.
Roughie: Pretty Blonde (Best Odds: $11.00) ran in the Mindarie-Halidon Cup a couple of weeks back and worked home strongly late when fourth to Stimulate. She is getting on in years, but she is certainly retaining some decent enthusiasm. Up in distance is perfect for her and she can work home strongly here if the speed is on, and it could well be.

Race Two (1:38pm) : Akeed Mofeed at Goldin Farms Maiden Plate 1000m:
Back Me: Cocoa Doll (Best Odds: $2.20) clearly on top for me here. She is a first starter for Phillip Stokes and Dom Tourneur who looked slick in winning a recent Gawler trial, beating Viceroy, who thumped rivals on Balaklava Cup Day to frank the form. Big watch here.
Big Danger: China Town (Best Odds: $8.00) is a first starter for the Kennewell yard who looked pretty good in a recent Murray Bridge trial, running third to Beau Rivage, who franked the form by getting the job done last Saturday in a strong race. Stable doesn’t mind winning with their debutantes, so watch market moves with this daughter of I Am Invincible.
Roughie: Schizle (Best Odds: $17.00) debuted in a pretty strong race at Morphettville on 1050m and he was far from disgraced when running sixth to the well above average type Viddora. Massive drop in class here, but he is bumping into first starter who looks the goods. He has the race advantage on his side, so that gives him a serious winning chance.

Race Three (2:18pm) : William Hill Handicap (70) 1550m:
Back Me: Eclair Attack (Best Odds: $3.20) got the job done well first up in strong maiden at Gawler before going to the 1200m at Morphettville and just failing to get the win, beaten narrowly by Last Bullet. Quickly up to 1550m now, which is a slight worry, but it’s hard to argue against this stable and their decision making, so he has to rate as a threat.
Big Danger: Beluga Blue (Best Odds: $12.00) drops back in class after contesting the Morphettville Guineas (1600m) last start and I thought he worked home strongly late when running fifth to impressive winner Celtic Tiger. His runs prior to that were just fair, so it’ll be interesting to see how he goes here, because I am sure he will be well found in the market.
Roughie: Aali Mia also comes through the Morphettville Guineas where she wasn’t too bad behind Celtic Tiger. Her run prior to that on Balaklava Cup Day was huge and on that effort, she is a threat here.

Race Four (2:53pm) : Christmas in Vegas @ Morphettville Handicap (0-68) 1250m:
Back Me: Leonforte (Best Odds: $2.70) resumes here for Tony McEvoy. He had two runs in the Autumn, starting off with a dominant debut win at Gawler before stepping up to Stakes level and finishing behind Japhils. Recent trial here was solid, and the form out of that trial has been outstanding.,
Big Danger: One More Daisy has been pretty good in three runs since her slick maiden win at Balaklava. She ran well over this track/distance a couple of weeks back when third to star filly Miss Gunpowder. She is in ripping form, and despite the wide gate, she can be a force here.
Roughie: Chondra (Best Odds: $10.00) appreciated the drop back in class when going to the Strathalbyn 1200m and proving a bit too good for his rivals after being well backed, sitting on speed and fighting on strongly for a solid win. Rises back up to city grade, but his record on the Parks track is excellent.

Race Five (3:33pm) : Five Star Print Handicap (70) 1000m:
Back Me: Looks a good race for Brooklyn (Best Odds: $6.50). This former Gai Waterhouse runner is loving life under the care of Lloyd Kennewell, winning impressively two back before looking the winner last time out, but was just outbobbed by Bullpit in a great finish. He should take a power of beating here.
Big Danger: Trueno (Best Odds: $5.00) is on the quick back up after racing last Saturday over 1100m at Morphettville where he was given a beaut steer from Todd Pannell to win most impressively. Little query on him with the seven day back up, but the stable is in form and his record at 1000m is excellent.
Roughie: I Am Gypsy (Best Odds: $10.00) looked sharp in a trial win before resuming over 1050m at Morphettville and she worked home well late to finish fourth to talented galloper Cashed, beaten just under two lengths after getting a fair way back in the run. She is a second up winner from the past and her record on the Parks track is very good.

Race Six (4:13pm) : Schweppes Handicap (75) 1400m:
Back Me: Looks a two horse race between Into The Mist and Coachella (Best Odds: $4.50). I am a big fan of Coachella, so I’ll stick with her. She was terribly unlucky when resuming over 1100m at Morphettville, getting badly held up on the turn and most of the straight. She is all class and is better than this level. Just needs a little bit of luck, but if she gets it, she’ll go close to beating these.
Big Danger: Into The Mist (Best Odds: $2.10) was smashed in betting when resuming over 1250m here three weeks back and she just brained her rivals, winning with ridiculous ease and running smart time. She showed during the Carnival that she can match it with some talented types. Up in trip is perfect for her and is well weighted given her form.
Roughie: Flask (Best Odds: $34.00) was pretty good I thought when resuming at Strathalbyn, working home well late to run fifth to stablemate Chondra. Her record on the Parks track is tidy and she could fill a place if she gets the right trip.

Race Seven (4:53pm) : MAC Drink Driving? GROW UP Handicap (70) 1400m:
Back Me: Just For Starters (Best Odds: $3.50) is a talented Robbie Laing trained galloper who was given every chance last time out over 1200m at Morphettville when second to impressive winner Northern Zhar. I don’t think 1400m will be an issue; the weight might be, but he has that because he is clearly the best horse in the race. Hard to beat.
Big Danger: Just forget Bomber Brown (Best Odds: $1.00) went around last Saturday over the mile at Morphettville given he just pulled his head off in front and he punctured badly late to run last. Back in trip suits and the fact he is backing up is a good lead that he has come through the run well.
Roughie: Grumpy Guru (Best Odds: $41.00) just couldn’t get into the race from the back when finishing near last behind Miss Gunpowder, who is a potential Group l filly and will go around at Caulfield this weekend. Grumpy Guru will be fitter and should improve with the distance increase. Doubt he can win, but he will be strong late if the tempo is good in front.

Race Eight (5:28pm): Quayclean Handicap (82) 1300m:
Back Me: It was really hard not to be impressed by the win of Northern Zhar (Best Odds: $3.50) last start over 1200m, where he was afforded a lovely steer from Jordan Childs before shoving into the clear, sprinting sharply and winning with a fair bit of ease. Harder here, but plenty of upside and his turn of foot is just about the best of any of these runners.
Big Danger: A Saucy Snitzel (Best Odds: $8.00) is low flying at the moment for the Stokes yard, winning three on the bounce at this distance range on this track. She was challenged strongly last time out, but she drew clear and was quite impressive. Rises a bit in depth and class, but while she is in this vein of form, it’s the right time to tackle the higher level.
Roughie: Almighty Bullet (Best Odds: $13.00) ran fifth behind Mio Dio, and he probably didn’t have many excuses given he had the run of the race behind the hot tempo. He was second up after a really good first up effort, so I think third up now he should be ready fitness wise.
