Race One (13:57) : Hughes Chauffeured Limousines Maiden Plate 1250m:
Back Me: Rufus (Best Odds: $2.50) is on the quick back up after racing over this distance on the Morphettville track last weekend when wide no cover and sticking on well to run third to Yoenis. Easier here, draws better and Lindop remains on.
Big Danger: Schizle (Best Odds: $8.50) ran over 1300m here three weeks back and did a little bit too much work early on and that effort told late when he tired to run fifth to Single Barrel. Should get every chance from the inside gate and is a leading contender.
Roughie: Porto Santo (Best Odds: $9.00) is on debut for John Hyam after running a solid fourth in a 1000m Gawler trial behind King Amongst Many, who did run well last Saturday to frank form. Stable is having a decent little run at the moment, so watch the market.

Race Two (14:32) : Adelaide Galvanising Handicap (70) 1400m:
Back Me: Schism (Best Odds: $2.60) was enormous in defeat last time out when wide no cover throughout yet still stuck on for second to Comprende. Draws better and senior rider is now aboard. Hard to beat.
Big Danger: Beau Rivage (Best Odds: $5.00) ran third in that race mentioned above and just forget he went around given he got back to near last in the run in a race dominated by those settling in the first three/four. He is better than that and runs quite well on this track.
Roughie: Optimize (Best Odds: $15.00) was excellent in her debut win at Strathalbyn where she had to make a long and sustained run yet still finished best for a strong victory. Harder here, but small field suits and the rider is in cracking form at the moment.

Race Three (15:08) : Melbourne Cup Live Racing at Morphettville Handicap (70) 1400m:
Back Me: Best bet on the program for mine here in the shape of Coachella (Best Odds: $4.00). She was given a very ordinary steer last Saturday, sitting wide no cover from gate two yet she still kept on well to run third to Beau’s My Boy. Senior rider back aboard now, draws a good gate…looks the winner for mine.
Big Danger: Beaus My Boy (Best Odds: $3.00) was given an outstanding front running steer from Ryan Hurdle last Saturday and the horse just powered clear in the straight to record a dominant win. Back in trip suits and despite the wide gate, he is a leading contender.
Roughie: Miss Joolia (Best Odds: $8.00) wasn’t far off them last time out over 1518m when running a close up fifth to Try Your Best. Drops 4kg from that run, draws well and could be an improver here at odds, but it really looks a good race for Coachella.

Race Four (15:43) : Master Builders Handicap (70) 2250m:
Back Me: Surging Wave (Best Odds: $6.00) is a Hayes/Dabernig runner that resumed over 2000m at Benalla and made up solid ground to run sixth to Grand Allowance on a day where it was hard to make up ground. Draws gate one and will relish the rise in trip.
Big Danger: Five To Midnight (Best Odds: $2.90) ran on Murray Bridge Cup Day last week and looked gone on several occasions in the straight but Simon Price kept at the daughter of Domesday and she held off her rivals. Harder here but did run well at this track the start prior and Lindop is back on.
Roughie: Loncava (Best Odds: $13.00) didn’t do much in his first two runs this time in, then dropped a bit in grade when running at Gawler last start and ran much better when second to Allez Tara. Now that he has got an improving run under the belt, he could well go on with it.

Race Five (15:43): Australia International 3 Day Event Handicap (82) 1000m:
Back Me: Huge fan of Jennyfromtheblock (Best Odds: $6.00), so I will go with this speedy mare. She showed terrific speed on Murray Bridge Cup Day last week and was just far too nippy for her rivals. She has run well here in three previous heats of this series in the past, but I don’t think she is going any better than she is right now. Hard to beat.
Big Danger: Brave Journey (Best Odds: $6.50) ran third to Jennyfromtheblock at Murray Bridge and was quite solid, but was simply no match for the winner. Meets the winner 0.5kg worse off, so I am not sure she can turn the tables, but she should run well nonetheless.
Roughie: Pistolier (Best Odds: $10.00) ran fourth in the same race, where he was first up, and while he didn’t win, he ran well without threatening. He has placed in all three second up runs and has a tidy record at the track.

Race Six (16:58) : Bridge Of Spies Handicap (75) 1250m:
Back Me: The class runner here is Cavaloce (Best Odds: $3.50) so I’ll lean her way. She last ran over 1250m here in May and stuck on quite well behind Redeem Bounty. No trials, but has class and did score a strong win first up last time in.
Big Danger: Crimson Cash (Best Odds: $12.00) kicked off her career in May with two runs at Balaklava, resulting in a debut win before failing next time out. Went about her business nicely in a recent Gawler trial and stable have to be always respected when they produce runners fresh.
Roughie: Scanty (Best Odds: $17.00) steps up big time in class but there was plenty to like about her first up win at Penola where she sat on speed throughout and just bolted in. Time was sharp too in comparison to other races that afternoon. Has failed badly in town previously, but doesn’t appear to be going any better.

Race Seven (17:33) : Akeed Mofeed at Goldin Farms Handicap (90) 1400m:
Back Me: Counter Spin (Best Odds: $8.50) ran at Morphettville a couple of weeks back where he worked home very strongly late to run second to Swinging Arms, who ran a cracker in the Durbridge last weekend. Hard to beat.
Big Danger: Held Hostage (Best Odds: $8.50) resumes here for Phillip Stokes after a mixed Autumn prep which ended with a disappointing seventh over 1950m here behind Doctor Care. Two trials leading in to this, so she should be forward enough to run a competitive race fresh, and the stable are flying at the moment.
Roughie: Boristar (Best Odds: $11.00) has been given a month freshen up after running a close up fourth to Okahu Bay in the Gawler Cup. That mare ran well next time out so the form isn’t too bad. This son of Commands loves racing on the Parks track and is near unbeatable at this track/distance.

Race Eight (18:10) : MAC Drink Driving? GROW UP Handicap (70) 1250m:
Back Me: Impulse Diavlo (Best Odds: $2.40) ran over 1200m on the Morphettville track where he was given a beaut steer from Jason Holder to get the job done impressively. He is a very good sprinter who has been sparingly raced. This looks a very winnable race for him and should just about take care of these.
Big Danger: Pepper The Pin (Best Odds: $3.80) resumed over 1050m here and ran well without threatening the winner when fourth to I Am Gypsy. His best form is over further and despite drawing wide, he will be a serious threat.
Roughie: He isn’t well weighted, but there was plenty to like about the win of Condiel (Best Odds: $16.00) last time out at Penola where he led all the way and bolted in. Similar tactics will be used here and despite the lofty weight, he could battle on for a place perhaps.
