Race One (13:28) : Macdonald Sheetpiling Handicap 1350m:
Back Me: Not really a race I want to get involved, but I’ll put Stryking Stunnah (Best Odds: $3.30) on top. She ran over this track/distance a fortnight back and stuck on well when second to stablemate Royal Tithe. Very weak race and Dittman is back aboard.
Big Danger: 10 Collywobble (Best Odds: $6.50) debuted over 1200m at the Sunny Coast a tick under two weeks back and though she didn’t look entirely happy on the soft track, she was too good. She is the one with upside, draws well and gets the gun apprentice James Orman aboard.
Roughie: 13 I’m So Epic (Best Odds: $26.00) ran some tidy races during the Spring/Summer behind some handy types. Forget she went around first up given it was a bog track and she couldn’t pick up her feet. Firmer track now and is right down in the weights, so she can be a sharp improver.

Race Two (14:03) : Multinail Handicap (75) 2200m:
Back Me: 8 Collateral (Best Odds: $14.00) is the one with upside. He showed good dash to win two back over 1800m at the Gold Coast before running over this trip at Ipswich and running a game third to Caillebotte. Tumbles in weight here, Appo remains on and this is a very winnable race.
Big Danger: 3 Kaiser Franz (Best Odds: $2.60) ran over this track/distance a couple of weeks back and closed off strongly when second to Surface Tension. Gets a 2kg weight pull, so I am confident he can turn the tables and Browne is aboard.
Roughie: 7 Vodnik (Best Odds: $15.00) ran fifth to Surface Tension and closed off alright late in the piece when beaten four lengths. Been a while since he has won but this is a winnable race and should do no work from the gate.

Race Three (14:42) : Partners Engineering Handicap (1MW) 1600m:
Back Me: 5 Lord Coconuts (Best Odds: $8.50) resumed over 1110m at the same meeting Old Smokey resumed in and his effort was pretty good, working home strongly from the back to run third, beaten just over three lengths. He then went to the Sunny Coast and again worked home from near last to run a close up fourth. He showed last time in he can perform well at this level and he’ll love the step up in trip.
Big Danger: 4 Bentles (Best Odds: $7.00) ran over 1350m last time out here and was pretty good I thought when fifth to Lucky Black. The key to this horse is getting up to the mile and perhaps the change of jockey could spark improvement.
Roughie: 11 Waterfront (Best Odds: $14.00) ran over this track/distance a fortnight back and stuck on alright when fifth to Heart Of A Warrior. Right down in the weights again and now she has had the tough city run under the belt, she can improve and be a force here.

Race Four (15:22) : Bluescope Handicap 1050m:
Back Me: 6 Thinkhesaurus (Best Odds: $8.00) is a nippy customer who has been given a five week freshen up since running second to Flying Riddle over 1110m at Toowoomba. Can race well fresh and will only carry 51kg after the claim for Brooke Stower. Great value bet on an each way basis for mine in a tricky race.
Big Danger: 9 Skip Course (Best Odds: $4.40) is an interesting runner. He resumes for Donna Greisdale off the back of a sharp trial win at Warwick Farm, and the time was pretty good. Runs well fresh, draws well and gets a leading rider aboard.
Roughie: 7 Wicked Intent (Best Odds: $5.00) is a class animal for Chris Munch who resumes here and takes on the older horses. He had three runs last time in and was just fair without setting the world on fire. Only carries 52kg here and draws to slide over and get a nice run on speed.

Race Five (16:02) : Southern Sheet & Coil Handicap (85) 1200m:
Back Me: 9 My Little Flicka (Best Odds: $9.00) is low flying at the moment for Ben Currie. She has won her last three, the latest coming over this track/distance three weeks back when surging late under hard riding from Wiggins, who remains on. Looks the one to beat.
Big Danger: 1 Adorabubble (Best Odds: $9.50) contested an open handicap over this track/distance three weeks back and stuck to her task very gamely when running second to surprise yet impressive winner Mana Manu. Had she drawn a gate, I’d be all over her, but that’s the big negative.
Roughie: 5 Forever Crazy (Best Odds: $41.00) creates plenty of interest here. Former Chris Waller runner who is now with Tony Gollan. Best form is over further, and no trials leading in, but there is a touch of class about her, so watch market moves.

Race Six (16:42) : Roladuct Spiral Tubing Handicap (2MW) 1350m:
Back Me: 5 Liberation (Best Odds: $4.80) put behind a little frustrating run of outs when winning impressively over 1200m here two weeks back. He gets back anyway, so the wide gate will be no issue and he looks the one to beat.
Big Danger: 6 Noogoora Burr (Best Odds: $8.00) resumed in an open handicap a month back over this track/distance when fighting on strongly to run second to Pillar Of Creation, who has won again since to frank the form. The claim really helps this cause and despite the wide gate, he is a leading contender.
Roughie: 11 Amexed (Best Odds: $51.00) is a quality galloper when he is right, but it has been a long time since he has been right, but there have been occasions where he has been strongly supported in betting. No trials, but just keep an eye on the market and what it does with this horse.

Race Seven (17:22) : Titan Sheds Handicap 1600m:
Back Me: 6 Lucky Black (Best Odds: $7.00) ran over 1350m here a fortnight back and got the job done impressively when sitting on speed and kicking on strongly after doing some work early on in the run. Little query on him running a strong 1600m, but he looks the leader and is only carrying 52kg.
Big Danger: 5 Lauterbrunnen (Best Odds: $4.20) ran over this track/distance two weeks ago and closed off nicely late to run a close up second to Heart Of A Warrior. Drops 6.5kg for this, draws well and has enormous upside left.
Roughie: 4 Reigning (Best Odds: $11.00) is a very interesting runner. Stayer that resumes for James Cummings after formerly being with Chris Waller. Best form is at 2000m and beyond and though his trials haven’t filled me with great confidence, but Browne rides, gate one and first up at the mile looks ideal.

Race Eight (18:02) : Rhino Toolboxes Handicap 1200m:
Back Me: 2 Quick Ketch (Best Odds: $8.00) has been given a month freshen up since running over this track/distance when running a game sixth to Quatronic, who went on to run well in a Country Championship qualifier. Gets Orman aboard now and has gate one, so he ticks plenty of boxes.
Big Danger: 1 Big Tree (Best Odds: $6.00) made it five seconds in a row when resuming here a fortnight back behind Secret Trail. Brad Stewart jumps aboard and he normally rides Quick Ketch. That could well be an indication.
Roughie: 12 Nieta (Best Odds: $16.00) failed badly on a heavy track Quick Ketch here two back before going to the Sunshine Coast where she took on the older horses and just felt the pinch late when third to Four Excel. She can definitely bounce back now she steps up in town again.
