Adam Page gives us his Big 6 tips for today’s Sale meeting, the first leg being race 3 which is scheduled to jump at 2:10PM.
Sale Race 3 (Leg 1) – Jooli Lad has been given a 54 day break after a strong placing on the Geelong
Synthetic behind Musee Market. The drop back to 1700m isn’t ideal but he appears to have ability and
should prove a worthy contender for victory. Hookedonafeeling got home strongly last start and will relish the
300m rise in distance. Stroemsky ran on well from near the back in the same race that Hookedonafeeling
contested. Watch him. Blonde Mafia is knocking on the door to win and will get her chance here.
Sale Race 4 (Leg 2) – Stand out Napier here. Good run on Geelong Cup day when making up late ground.
He’ll be cherry ripe for this, third up from a spell. 59kg isn’t a concern as his class and ability will get him
home here In what is an ordinary race with the exception of him.
Sale Race 5 (Leg 3) – Eladoni was very impressive first up when bolting in over 1600m. Draws much better
for this race and will prove hard to hold out. Irish Golfer had no luck last start and with the ace barrier Nikolic
can put him to sleep. Law And Order caught the eye first up and will be much fitter for that run. Expect him
to rocket home. Moore has threatened to show something but hasn’t delivered yet. May get his chance here.
Too Ra Loo is first up but the Moody/Nolen combination is the hottest in Australia.
Sale Race 6 (Leg 4) – Royal Grace has always shown ability, winning a night race at the Valley late last
year. That was her last win but her form has been solid and with luck in running she can break her winning
drought. Ribati had no luck at Pakenham from the wide draw. He has a horror draw as well here but give
him another go. Ello Ello had very good form last preparation and won a recent barrier trial in smart time.
Identify has natural pace and can give a sight here at good odds. Agar can perform fresh first up and Lunar
Blonde chased home smart mare Varenna Miss first up. Been freshened and can win here with normal luck.
Sale Race 7 (Leg 5) – High Lord won well first up, he can take the next step here. Stormulator made good
ground last start at Ararat and the rise to 1400m will suit. It’s Lumsden ran well first up when leading and
swamped in the final 100m. Drops back to 1400m which is a concern but hard to ignore his effort last start.
Shining Bullet has always shown talent, just needs a firm track which he may get here.
Sale Race 8 (Leg 6) – Big fan of Nevzlin here. Really attacked the line first up at Bendigo when winning and
he appeared to have a tummy on him so he’ll strip much fitter for that so I expect him to improve on that run
and prove awfully hard to beat here. Froggy will have him in the plum spot from barrier five and he appears
the best bet on the card.
Leg 1: 3,6,7,8
Leg 2: 2
Leg 3: 1,2,4,5,6
Leg 4: 4,9,11,13,15
Leg 5: 1,2,7,9
Leg 6: 9
