Roughie: 6 Trap For Fools (Best Odds: $51.00) is on debut here for the Lindsey Smith stable. The trials leading in haven’t been too flash, but the stable gets them right and Lucy Warwick steers.

Race Two (14:37) : Five Star Wholesale Meats Handicap (1MW) 1200m:
Back Me: 5 Cool Passion (Best Odds: $1.85) resumed four weeks back at Ascot and thanks to a brilliant steer from Lucy Warwick, the talented galloper proved too good for a Stakes class galloper in Celebrity Dream. Can only see upside and is the one to beat.
Big Danger: 9 King River (Best Odds: $5.00) is such an interesting runner. First up for nearly a year but the trials leading in have been sharp and Pike steers. Mounting yard and market watch.
Roughie: 10 Star Glitter (Best Odds: $21.00) ran at the midweeks last Wednesday and just had to do much too much work from the back behind Grey Enigma. She has performed well in Saturday grade before and will be strong late.

Race Three (15:17) : Evolve Sprint (72+) 1000m:
Back Me: 4 Military Reign (Best Odds: $2.30) ran here a fortnight back and just looked to do too much work on speed when a tiring third to Bourne Supremacy. That horse isn’t here, and if he can not cop so much pressure, he is a definite winning chance.
Big Danger: 9 Travellin’ (Best Odds: $6.50) ran here two weeks ago and stuck to the task gamely when running second to Rule To Wyn. I think he is s better horse at Ascot, but he is in form and loves a fight.
Roughie: 3 Classical Prince (Best Odds: $7.50) has been given an eight week freshen up since running fifth to King Of The Palace at Ascot in a really good effort. He will get back again and look to storm home late.

Race Four (15:57) : Town Of Victoria Park Community Handicap 1300m:
Back Me: 7 See Me Sizzle (Best Odds: $6.00) me resumes for the Grant Williams yard. He performed well during the Summer, including at Stakes level. Trials have been good and Pike steers.
Big Danger: 3 Scales Of Justice (Best Odds: $3.00) is a talented galloper that resumes here for the Lindsey Smith yard. He had two runs during the Summer, resulting in a win and a narrow second to the above average Vega Magic. Trials have been good and he does have class and quality.
Roughie: 9 Just Like That (Best Odds: $34.00) started bolters odds on debut three weeks back at Ascot where she sat on speed and looked home, but was nabbed late by Airlie Sun. Can she repeat that again? I’m not sure, but she has to be respected.

Race Five (16:37) : Pink Ladies Day Luncheon July 9 Handicap (78+) 1800m:
Back Me: 4 Tonto (Best Odds: $5.00) last win was when Moses parted the sea but he got the job done impressively here two weeks ago. He is hard to trust, but now he has got the job done, he might go on with it.
Big Danger: 2 Respondent (Best Odds: $5.00) ran over the mile here a fortnight back and looked the winner, but was bloused late by Tonto. He is bursting to win a race and he gets his chance here.
Roughie: 9 Tarquin Shadow (Best Odds: $7.50) was very disappointing in that Tonto race given she controlled the race from the front and found nothing in the straight. She is better than that, and on her best form, she is a definite improver.

Race Six (17:15) : Italo Australian Centre Celebrating 60 Years Handicap (72+) 1400m:
Back Me: 3 Stagnite (Best Odds: $16.00) creates plenty of interest here. This gelding hasn’t raced in about nine months since running here behind subsequent Stakes performer Red Ora. No trials, but has form around Black Heart Bart and Dawn Approach. Good enough to be competitive here if he is fit.
Big Danger: 7 Run Liam Lum (Best Odds: $9.00) ran in that race Wroughted contested and he stuck to the task pretty well. He is a tough but who is never too far away and he looks to draw well.
Roughie: 6 Wroughted (Best Odds: $21.00) resumed here a fortnight back and got back in the run before working home strongly late. Should be better of fitness wise and he does have a touch of class on his side.

Race Seven (17:55) : Del Basso Smallgoods Roma Cup 2500m:
Back Me: 3 Battle Hero (Best Odds: $7.50) ran in the old Comrade five weeks back and tried his heart out when running a close up second to Wink And A Nod. The break will do him no harm and he will take some holding out.
Big Danger: 1 Luckygray (Best Odds: $3.00) resumes here. He hasn’t raced since winning this race last year in dominant fashion. Trials have been sharp and though a year between runs, the champs find a way to get the job done.
Roughie: 9 Bourne Supremacy (Best Odds: $15.00) rises sharply in grade but he is in outstanding form. He produced a brilliant turn of foot to win over 1000m here a fortnight back. WFA and 1200m isn’t ideal, but he can sneak a place.

Big Danger: 1 Gloryland (Best Odds: $4.20) deserves another crack at the city after three impressive wins at Pinjarra. He has performed well in town before and is well suited after the claim.
Roughie: 5 Futurism (Best Odds: $31.00) ran here two weeks back and just did too much work after sitting deep throughout behind Universal Law. With a better run here, he can definitely bounce back.
