French raider Sahpresa will face seven rivals as she attempts to win her third successive Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
Rod Collet’s six-year-old appears in the form of her life.
She began her season by beating the emerging French filly Moonlight Cloud, was arguably an unlucky loser to Timepiece in the Falmouth Stakes and was a fast-finishing second behind Goldikova in the Prix Rothschild.
Last time out she was beaten just a length by the high-class Immortal Verse in the Prix Jacques le Marois.
Sir Henry Cecil’s Timepiece was just behind Sahpresa in the Prix Rothschild and Saturday’s race could be viewed as a decider for the pair.
The John Oxx-trained Alanza has been supplemented after improving at a rate of knots this season.
Cecil’s Chachamaidee was third to Alanza in the Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster and also renews rivalry.
Although Dermot Weld has not declared Matron Stakes winner Emulous, Aidan O’Brien adds to the Irish challenge with Together, second in the English and Irish Guineas as well as the Matron.
Brian Meehan’s Strawberrydaiquiri will bid to go one better than when second 12 months ago when trained by Sir Michael Stoute, while Mick Channon’s Music Show is looking to return to her three-year-old form.
The David Simcock-trained I’m A Dreamer completes the field.
