Frankel continues to delight connections as he gears up for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot next month.
Sir Henry Cecil’s three-year-old will put his unbeaten record on the line in the October 15 contest, where his rivals could possibly include the likes of So You Think, Immortal Verse and Goldikova.
Frankel was last seen when easily accounting for the now-retired Canford Cliffs in the Sussex Stakes, extending his winning run to eight.
The Galileo colt was adding to victories in the Greenham, 2000 Guineas and St James’s Palace Stakes this term and Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, is anticipating another virtuoso performance at Ascot.
“Henry is now beginning to crank up through the gears with Frankel as he builds up towards the QEII,” Grimthorpe said.
“He looks amazing, although I would say that. He’s just building up nicely towards his big day.”
