Aidan O’Brien’s multiple Group One winner Fame And Glory makes his seasonal reappearance in the Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan on Sunday.
The son of Montjeu won four consecutive races last season before placing fifth in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.
He will be ridden by Jamie Spencer for the first time this weekend after owner Fitri Hay purchased a share in the five-year-old, who will run in her colours.
Former Ballydoyle stable jockey Johnny Murtagh rides the John Oxx-trained Nebula Storm, who sports the Christopher Tsui silks made famous by Sea The Stars.
Vincent Ward trains just a handful of horses and is looking forward to saddling Fictional Account who gave her connections a day to remember when winning a Listed race at Ascot last September.
“It’s a tough race but she’s rated over 100 and we have no choice but to run her in races like this,” Ward said.
“She’s in with the big guns now and it’s not going to be easy for her. Fame And Glory is the class horse.
“But our mare is well and where I’d want her to be at this stage of the season. If she’s placed, I’d be delighted.”
Former O’Brien inmate Table Mountain lines up for Robbie Hennessy after one unsuccessful start over hurdles.
Sense Of Purpose, Syann and Unity complete the field.
