Top-class mares Midday and Snow Fairy feature among seven declared runners in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday.
Sir Henry Cecil’s Midday is bidding for a hat-trick of victories in the 10-furlong (2000m) Group One but needs to reverse recent placings with Aidan O’Brien’s Misty For Me who was an easy victor when the pair met in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh.
Four-time Group One winner Snow Fairy made a late start to the season following injury but there was enough promise in her comeback fourth in the Eclipse to suggest she remains a force at this level.
Cecil also runs Principal Role, while Crystal Capella, Field Day and Barefoot Lady complete the field.
