Star Queensland galloper Alligator Blood has returned ahead of his Spring campaign with an easy trial win between races at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.
Trainer David Vandyke sent out his star galloper in a small race day trial at the Sunshine Coast where he finished off too strong in the concluding stages to win comfortably in what was a quick time over 1000m.
Alligator Blood has not been seen since finishing a disappointing tenth in the All Star Mile where he jumped as the short priced favourite after winning the G1 Australian Guineas.
Alligator Blood is set to resume at Doomben on September 12th in a benchmark race before embarking on a Spring campaign which could include two of Sydney’s richest races the $7.5m Golden Eagle and the $15m The Everest prior to a possible tilt at the Cox Plate though dependant on the horses Sydney runs and COVID restrictions.
