Perth trainer Lindsey Smith has confirmed that Scales of Justice will return home to Western Australia after he was diagnosed with bone bruising.
The Railway Stakes winner pulled up lame after being galloped on in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes a week ago when he finished seventh in the field of fourteen.
Scales of Justice had been earmarked to tackle Saturday’s Group One Toorak Handicap but will head back to Perth to contest the Group One Railway Stakes and Group One Kingston Town Classic later this year.
Scales of Justice was on the third line of betting in the Toorak Handicap market at $6.50.
