Racing Victoria Stewards have issued two charges against trainer Andrew Campbell after his horse Quick Kiss returned a positive to a prohibited substance.

Charge One: AR178
“When any horse that has been brought to a racecourse for the purpose of engaging in a race and a prohibited substance is detected in any sample taken from it prior to or following its running in any race, the trainer and any other person who was in charge of such horse at any relevant time may be penalised.”
The particulars of the charge are summarised as follows:
- On 24 March 2016, Quick Kiss was brought to the Terang racecourse and ran in the Agrimac Maiden Plate over 1000 metres.
- A prohibited substance, being Phenylbutazone and Oxyphenbutazone, was detected in a post-race urine sample taken from Quick Kiss on 24 March 2016.
Charge Two: AR178F
The particulars of the charge are summarised as follows:
- During the period of 1 March 2016 to 24 March 2016, in contravention of AR178F(1), he failed to properly record the treatment and medications administered to horses in his care.
The charges issued against Mr Campbell will be heard before the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary (RAD) Board on a date to be fixed.
