A programming concern with the Coolmore Classic meeting has delayed the Sydney debut of leading ATC Oaks chance Solicit.
Solicit was paid up for Saturday’s Phar Lap Stakes at Rosehill as well as the Alexandra Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night.
The Phar Lap Stakes is the last of nine Rosehill races and the timing, as well as a tricky barrier, is an issue for her trainer Mathew Ellerton.
Ellerton consulted managing owner David Moodie before deciding Friday night’s race suited Solicit better than the Rosehill contest.
“She’ll have another two weeks in her box at home now,” Ellerton said.
Ellerton said Solicit would travel to Sydney to tackle the Group One Vinery Stud Stakes at Rosehill on April 5.
Solicit’s jockey Damian Lane had planned to travel to Sydney to ride work for trainer David Payne on Thursday morning to have his first look at the Rosehill track.
