Randwick trainers Peter and Paul Snowden could be set for a significant pay day at the Wyong Magic Millions meeting.
The partnership is expected to take out Thursday’s feature race with Breeders’ Plate winner Capitalist, the short-priced favourite for the $200,000 Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic.
The only horse regarded as a serious threat to the boom colt is his stablemate Niccolance.
Temporarily transferred to Jim and Greg Lee when trainer Kevin Moses was banned for a cobalt-related offence, Niccolance will make his debut for the Snowdens after finishing second to highly-regarded Godolphin youngster Astern at his only start.
The Snowdens also have one of the leading fancies in the Wyong Magic Millions 3YO & 4YO Stakes.
Flippant is a two-time stakes winner and turned in a dominant performance in a recent barrier trial.
She is on the second line of betting for the $100,000 sprint at $4.20 with only the Gai Waterhouse-trained Flamboyant Lass marked higher as the $2.80 TAB fixed odds favourite.
The two Magic Millions contests are considered important lead-ups to the sales company’s major race day at the Gold Coast in January.
