Damian Browne is at the centre of an inquiry into his ride on Fighting Teo at the Sunshine Coast.
Fighting Teo ($3 fav) ran sixth, beaten 9-1/4 lengths in a Class One Handicap (1400m) on Friday after getting well back early.
Stewards opened a running and handling inquiry into the ride and took evidence from Browne and trainer Kevin Kemp.
Stewards noted they had been advised Fighting Teo would have a change of tactics and be ridden more forward from a wide barrier but the horse was ridden in the second half of he field.
The inquiry was then adjourned to a date to be fixed.
