There has been another scratching in Saturday’s Caulfield Cup field giving second emergency Vengeur Masque a start in the race.
Big Memory was officially scratched from the Caulfield Cup Field this morning after showing severe inflammation to a hock. This is on the back of the scratching of Kiwi mare Fanatic yesterday, leaving just 18 horses left in contention.
Big Memory was a $61 chance in betting before being removed from markets.
Both emergencies have now been guaranteed starts in the race meaning any further scratchings would see a less than capacity field for the $3million dollar race.
