A solid jump-out by Sarisara has convinced trainer Rex Lipp the filly is back to near her best for a return to racing at Doomben.

Sarisara, who is raced similar interests to outstanding sprinters Temple Of Boom and Spirit Of Boom, was one of the unlucky runners during the Brisbane winter carnival.

The filly hasn’t started since finishing midfield in the Group Two BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes behind top gallopers Time For War and Brazen Beau.

She had little luck in the Sires’, the story of her winter in which she also ran three fourths in top-quality races.

Sarisara meets a hot field in the Gallopers Sports Club Handicap (1100m) but Lipp is confident she will race well.

Lipp has taken his time with Sarisara after she was beaten nine lengths in an open-company barrier trial on September 16.

“She has never been a great trialler but she has had a jump-out since and I was pleased with it,” Lipp said.

Sarisara has not won first-up but in two campaigns has been a good second and an unlucky fourth when resuming.

Lipp pointed out the filly was ideally drawn in barrier five on Saturday and should be able to take up a handy place just behind the pace.

“Sarisara is class and there are plenty of bonus races for her coming up and then maybe some of the fillies’ and mares’ black-type races,” Lipp said.

Lipp said there was also a chance Sarisara would be taken to Sydney over the Christmas holidays.

A win for Sarisara would further enhance Lipp’s reputation with fillies and mares.

His Queensland Oaks winner Tinto is back in work and he had a good winner in filly Star Drop at Ipswich on Wednesday.
