Trainer John Sadler has escaped penalty despite pleading guilty to two charges over positive swabs from two horses.
But Sadler had a conviction recorded when he fronted the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary (RAD) Board on Tuesday.
He wasn’t given a penalty because of what the RAD described as “the unique circumstances” of the case.
The Sadler-trained Deep Cove and Irish Golfer were, however, disqualified from their January wins.
Deep Cove tested positive to the banned substance Synephrine in a urine sample taken after its win at Sandown on January 11.
The same substance was detected in Irish Golfer’s urine sample after it won at Werribee four days later.
