Talented colt Rusambo has answered the easy questions so well at his last two starts, his training team is ready to ask him a tough one.
Rusambo claimed his second successive victory in the Listed Mitchell McKenzie Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley, confirming the opinion the Snowden camp has always had of him.

“We knew he was a quality horse, all he needed was to breakthrough and win one,” co-trainer Paul Snowden said.
Rusambo ($6) achieved that aim two weeks ago at Moonee Valley and on Saturday confirmed the form with a short head victory over the equally impressive Dominant ($7.50).
Adjuster ($51) ran an even race to finish third, a further half length away.
Rusambo is now likely to step up to 1400m in the Henry Bucks Stakes at Flemington in two weeks with the stable’s sights set firmly on the Group One Caulfield Guineas (1600m) on October 13.
“We’re hoping he can get the 1600m, but there’s every reason to think he can,” Snowden said.
“Every start we’ve raised the bar and so far he’s handled it.
“But we’re not going to put him into something he’s not competitive in.”
Rusambo seems destined to meet the runner-up Dominant again through their spring campaigns, and according to trainer Mat Laurie, the winner will need to improve.
“I know my horse has still got a lot more to give,” Laurie said.
“The improvement he’s shown from his first start to today is incredible.
“He’s a different horse mentally and I think he’s got his share of ability.”
